I like dogs. I always say my first love was Niki, my neighbours’ Labrador when I was in kindergarten.
When I used to travel to school in auto, I used to count the number of dogs I could see on my way. I found it much more interesting than talking to my fellow commuters.
Now I am back to the habit.
And as I tune into Radio Indigo, I begin counting the dogs! Pets and stray.!
What purpose does it serve? Well, none. Maybe something to do with the BMP’s dog-culling. Though I am against it, my counts don’t help in anyway. Just gaves me a lot of joy to see a doggie jogging happily away to some place with its ears flapping and its tongue hanging out
!

Doggies are just very interesting. The innocent creatures are seen jogging away on some important mission, seeming all important. Some choose to sleep on the warm sand and I see one dog every morning sleeping on the pedestal of a petrol bunk! Some are pets, dragging their masters after them. Some doing their, well, morning routine of excretion. :p Some are so cutely cuddled away in some obscure corner that it takes you awhile to realise that it’s a dog.
Most dogs are found near garbage dumps, wagging their tails at the rag-pickers.
